Schooling Shows
For aspiring riders
Schooling shows are a fantastic introduction to the world of competition for the young, inexperienced, or re-riders. These one-day, low-cost events provide a supportive and educational environment where learning takes priority over ribbons. At Durham Equestrian Club, we encourage riders to treat schooling shows as opportunities to grow — not just in the saddle, but in their overall horsemanship. Riders are responsible for preparing and caring for their own horses, helping them build confidence, independence, and a deeper connection with their equine partners. These shows are an essential stepping stone for those looking to develop strong fundamentals and a love for the sport.
