LEASING AT DEC

Durham Equestrian Club offers riders the opportunity to experience horse ownership without the full commitment of buying. We offer in-barn half and full leases, as well as limited opportunities to help you find a lease horse to bring in from out-of-barn.

Leases prices vary depending on the quality of horse and demands you'll have for your partner. We have many options available, from lesson horse leases to seasoned show mounts. Leases are offered with a 6-month or 1 year commitment, with options on 1/3, 1/2, or full responsibility and riding rights on your chosen horse. DEC offers leases with annual lease fees of $3-$15K on show mounts, accompanied by monthly fees to include a share or whole of board, vet, and farrier expenses. Lessors also enjoy a discounted rate on lesson packages. Lesson horse leases are offered at a standard flat rate to cover expenses with no annual fee.
